Rules of tattoo care after the session

We want your tattoo to heal evenly and look flawless. Follow our recommendations and the result will be perfect!
  • Always wash your hands before touching your new tattoo 01
  • Remove your tattoo bandage after 24 hours 02
  • Gently wash your tattoo 3–4 times per day using warm water and mild soap 03
  • Pat dry, don’t rub, your tattoo using a soft cloth or towel 04
  • Apply a small amount of tattoo aftercare product 3–4 times per day for the first 3–4 days 05
Proper care during healing will protect your tattoo’s detail and colour. If you have any questions, please call Paris Ink to speak with a professional tattoo artist – don’t rely on information from anyone else!

We are often asked

Officially, you can get a tattoo starting at 18 years old. However, if you’re under 18, we can do a tattoo only with parental or guardian consent. They must be present during the procedure and sign a consent form.

We always recommend taking your time to think it through, especially if it’s your first tattoo. If you’d like to discuss your idea with an artist, feel free to come in for a free consultation – we’ll go over your design, help you choose the right style, and explain everything about the process.

The price depends on several factors:
Size – the larger the tattoo, the more time and materials required.
Detail – intricate designs with fine lines or realism tend to cost more.
Style – minimalistic tattoos are usually more affordable than realistic portraits.
Placement – some areas require more time and expertise to tattoo.

To get an exact quote, just send us a message or book a consultation – we’ll evaluate the design and give you a price estimate.

This depends on the size and complexity of the design:
Small tattoos (symbols, lettering) can usually be completed in one session.
Medium-sized tattoos may require 1-2 sessions, depending on detail.
Large tattoos or detailed styles (realism, black & gray, full color) can take multiple sessions (for example, a sleeve or back piece).

If your tattoo is large, we can split it into multiple sessions to ensure comfortable healing and the best possible result. Book a consultation, and we’ll assess your design and let you know how long it will take.

If you have a reference or an idea, we’d love to take a look! Our artists can adapt the design to fit your anatomy, style, and personal preferences, making it unique and customized for you.

We don’t copy other artists’ work exactly out of respect for their intellectual property.
However, we can create a similar design in your preferred style, enhance it with custom details, and make it even better!

Send us your reference or come in for a consultation – we’ll help you create the perfect tattoo!

We understand that skin heals differently for everyone, and sometimes touch-ups are needed.

That’s why we offer a free touch-up within 3 months of your appointment.

If, after your tattoo has fully healed (4–6 weeks), you notice any minor imperfections, you can book a touch-up at no extra cost.

After 3 months, touch-ups are considered a tattoo refresh and will have an additional charge.

Yes, but carefully! You can gently rinse your tattoo with clean water if needed, but do not soak it in the bath, pool, ocean, or under strong water pressure in the shower.

What you should avoid:

  • Taking hot baths or going to saunas.
  • Swimming in pools or open water (bacteria in the water can cause infection).
  • Trying to “steam” the tattoo – this can affect healing.

What you can do:

  • Lightly rinse with lukewarm water, avoiding excessive moisture.
  • Use tattoo aftercare products recommended by your artist.
  • Follow your artist’s instructions for the best healing process.

Remember: Avoid excessive moisture until your skin is fully healed!

Fresh tattoos and sun exposure don’t mix well.

Do not expose your tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least 4–6 weeks. Why?

  • The sun can “burn out” the pigment, causing colors to fade or change.
  • Healing will take longer, and uneven patches may form.
  • Irritation and dryness can damage the tattoo, leading to poor results.

What can you do?

  • Cover your tattoo with light clothing if you have to be outside.
  • Once fully healed, apply SPF 50+ sunscreen to maintain color vibrancy.

Your tattoo is an investment—protect it properly!

Every person’s skin is different, but healing generally happens in 3 stages:

First 1–2 days – Possible slight swelling, redness, and plasma discharge (this is normal).
Days 3–7 – A thin scab may form, and some peeling can occur. Do not scratch or pick at it!
2–4 weeks – The skin regenerates, and the color settles.

Full healing takes about 3 to 6 weeks, depending on skin type, tattoo placement, and aftercare.

Your artist will give you proper aftercare instructions to ensure a smooth and fast healing process.

Comfort and protection are key!

Best clothing choices:

  • Loose clothing made from natural fabrics (cotton, linen).
  • Something that won’t rub or stick to the tattoo.
  • If your tattoo is on your leg, opt for loose pants or shorts.

What to avoid:

  • Tight jeans, leggings, or synthetic fabrics that may irritate your skin.
  • Clothing that traps heat and prevents proper airflow.

The goal is to keep your skin comfortable and avoid unnecessary friction!

Yes! This is a completely normal part of the healing process.

3–5 days after your session, your skin will start to flake, and mild itching is expected—this means it’s healing.

What to do:

  • Apply a tattoo-friendly moisturizer recommended by your artist.
  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.
  • Be patient—this stage only lasts a few days!

What to avoid:

  • Do not scratch or pick the scabs – this can remove pigment and leave patches.
  • Avoid heavy creams, petroleum jelly, or alcohol-based products – they can interfere with healing.

Give it a little time, and soon your tattoo will settle into its final look! 😊
